SW226 Pink Pearl 16-oz Brush on Stoneware Glaze by Mayco Colors 

Cone 6 results: Glossy, transparent white glaze that breaks over texture. Contains pink crystals. Base color is stable; crystals can create movement.

Cone 10 reduction: Changes to a glossy blue. Heavy crystal application may affect color results and movement.  

Tip: Pink Pearl uses SW223 Milk Glass as the base. Upon opening, crystals will be concentrated in the bottom of the bottle. Stir/shake thoroughly to incorporate before each use. Crystals can create movement. Avoid having a heavy concentration of crystals near the bottom of your piece. When storing a crystal glaze, you may consider storing upside down to make crystal more accessible.

Stoneware classic glazes offer the depth, sophistication and reliability to artists working from mid-range to high-fire temperatures. Many glazes will break over textures, revealing secondary colors and shades. Used alone, stoneware glazes produce beautiful color variations. One coat will allow the clay body to show through the glaze and two to three coats deeper the color. The choice of clay body, thickness of glaze application, firing process and temperature will affect the fired finish.
